best no bullshit pre workout

I am not a big fan of bodybuilding supplements but I can’t ignore the fact that many men are taking pre-workout supplements on a regular basis, so I thought it would be okay to help you out here. Before I start there are 3 things I need to confess

  1. I use to sell supplements many years ago
  2. Since my journey to enhancing my health and testosterone naturally, I stopped taking pre-workout. I haven’t touched the stuff for 2 years now.
  3. I use to take pre-workout way to much back in my younger and less mature days.

So now I have got that off my chest I am going to show you why I believe this is the best pre-workout you can buy.

The supplement name is Rebellion and is one of Brandon Carter’s products. Brandon Carter is a massive youtube fitness personality.

What separates this pre-workout from the rest?

Its simple its not full of shit, it only contains ingredients that work and are actually beneficial for you. These ingredients also support your sexual health and may also lead to improving erection quality as well. Some of these ingredients have been clinically proven to increase nitric oxide production within the body. Nitric oxide production is a massive topic when it comes to erection quality and cardiovascular health.

Rebellion pre-workout lists the actual amounts of ingredients it contains. So you know what you are putting into your body.

2 of these ingredients are regularly discussed in length on this website as they relate to sexual health. Here are the big 4 ingredients contained in this pre-workout (It also contains caffeine, I am assuming you know the pros and cons of taking caffeine).

6 grams of L-Citrulline Malate

Citrulline is a nonessential amino acid and antioxidant which is converted into Arginine which then helps in the process of increasing nitric oxide levels. L-Citrulline is a major by-product of the process of creating nitric oxide within the body. It is even used to treat erectile dysfunction.

Besides watermelon not many foods contain L-Citrulline. A USDA study reported in the March 2007 issue of “Nutrition” tested the effects of watermelon juice in amounts of 1 or 2 g per day. The study found that arginine concentrations increased by 12 percent at the lower dose and 22 percent at the 2 g dose.

That’s an increase of 22 percent at 2g this supplement contains 6grams!

Funny fact: Did you know the rind of the watermelon contains the most citrulline. Not a fan of eating watermelon rind that’s okay juicing or supplementation will help get the job done.

3 grams of Creatine

Anyone that is anti supplement will have a hard time arguing that creatine doesn’t work. Creatine absolutely works I am not just saying that from experience. There have been over 70 successful studies done on creatine. Which proved that creatine certainly does

  • increased strength output
  • Promotes lean muscle mass gain
  • stimulates cellular hydration
  • decreases fatigue

Creatine will result with you gaining muscle mass at a faster rate due to its ability to allow you to train harder for longer.

Creatine doesn’t actually increase testosterone but it does something better. Creatine converts testosterone it into a more bio-available form called dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Which is the strongest androgen in the male body. To make it simple androgens are the hormones that give men their ‘male’ characteristics.

Don’t get me wrong I would never recommend 90% of bodybuilding supplements but creatine is in its own league. Creatine will result in faster muscle gains and now with studies claiming it increases DHT it can make you more manly (study).

3 grams of Beta-alanine

Beta-alanine is one of the non-essential amino acids which can be found in most protein sources. According to studies, Beta-alanine will increase stamina, strength and muscle development. This is possible because Beta-alanine converts into carnosine. The more carnosine that’s present in your system then, the fewer chances you’re going to suffer from high lactic acid levels.

I am not a massive fan of Beta-alanine mainly due to that it will take two weeks to start noticing good increases in performance, so if it’s not immediately noticeable. And you are required to take it every day! PLEASE DON’T CONSUME YOUR PRE-WORKOUT EVERYDAY unless you want to fry your adrenal glands. If you want to buy another supplement to take every day just buy creatine. Creatine is one of the cheapest supplements you can buy. You can buy years worth for around $ 100.

1.5 grams of Betaine

I don’t want to get too technical with this one as it is not as important. The most popular benefit of of Betaine is its ability to boost muscle protein synthesis in the body. Unlike the other 3 ingredients which may be hard to consume a high amount of within your diet, you shouldn’t have any problems consuming Betaine on a regular basis. The foods containing the most betaine are quinoa, spinach, beetroot, and celery.

Cant beat your pre-workout addiction?

If you cant beat your pre-workout addiction I have a solution for you. The caffeine in your pre-workout is the main culprit when it comes to damaging your health. Also, its important to note excessive caffeine intake can lower testosterone levels and increase your stress hormone cortisol. Whats the solution? That’s simple just make your own pre-workout or your own version of Rebellion without the caffeine.

To make it easier I would say you only need 3 of those 4 ingredients. It will actually workout out cheaper this way and you can actually take it every day allowing you to reap the full benefits of the creatine and Beta-alanine. Here are some supplement recommendations.

So if you have to take a pre-workout and are looking to take something reliable Rebellion would be my choice. If you are looking for other natural ways to increase nitric oxide production and improve your workout performance you should check out my  Recipe Ebook..
