How common is erectile dysfunction?

If you are experiencing erectile dysfunction and feeling frustrated you should know that you are not alone. Erectile dysfunction is more common than you think especially in younger men.

There are about 30 million other guys in the United States who frequently suffer from erectile dysfunction. Erectile dysfunction, also known as impotence or ED, occurs when a man is unable to sustain an erection which is sufficient for sexual intercourse.  65 percent of men with ED are unable to have an orgasm and 58 percent have problems with ejaculation according to Phyician scientists at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

A study done by Cleveland Clinic revealed that as many as 52 percent of men experience erectile dysfunction, with it affecting 40 percent of men age 40, and 70 percent of men age 70.

Erectile should be taken seriously as it may be a warning sign of other underlying health conditions. These conditions can be quite serious such as heart problems, diabetes, atherosclerosis(clogged arteries), high blood pressure as well as hormone imbalances and neurological disorders.

There are also many Psychological causes of ED. When we get excited we send signals to the brain that cause a chain reaction that leads to an erection. Conditions such as depression and anxiety can interfere with that process. This is why I discuss topics like “get confidence”, “reduce anxiety” and ways to reduce stress levels on this website. I like to tackle the problem with many different approaches which in general will actually not just cure ED but actually transform you into the best version of yourself.

You are too young to have ED myth

This hectic world we live in today is taking its toll on many young men and ED is now more common. Research shows that at least 26% of men under the age of 40 will experience ED. The reason behind this is due to poor lifestyle choices and just in general people are not putting their health as number one priority. So if you are below 40 or even in your 20’s you are not alone and the good news is your ED can be cured generally within weeks.

What the f are doctors doing? Erectile dysfunction has been treated incorrectly by a majority of doctors. Today its the norm for doctors to prescribe drugs like Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra to young men (If you’re in your 40’s you are still young!). These DRUGS are not the approach that should be taken and can actually make the situation worse.

For example

When I suffered from porn educed erectile dysfunction and low testosterone levels many years ago I would spend endless hours reading forums on how to treat Porn introduced ED and what I discovered was.

Many young fit men with porn introduced ED would seek help from their doctors and the doctors go to prescription would be Viagra. You don’t need to be a doctor to know a fit young man doesn’t need Viagra! And there are some other underlying physiological and psychological issues that haven’t been addressed. Drugs like Viagra in most cases won’t work and leave many young men confused and even lead them to depression.

Many confessed on these forums how their doctors made their situation worse and prolonged their recovery time. For those who don’t know porn-induced ED is a psychological issue and no amount of Viagra will resolve someones psychological problems (Check out this post about the side effects of Viagra).

That is just one example how drugs like Viagra are wrongly being prescribed to men.

As I like to say often around here “there is no shortcut to a long-term situation”.

I am not a doctor but from personal experience, I could give you at least 30 ways for someone to treat their own ED naturally.

This is why I love traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) healing practices. The traditional natural way to tackle health problems and promote vitality within the body. Imagine around 2 thousand years ago if you had ED and approached a TCM practitioner how would they treat your ED? There is a good chance they would make you some delicious 100% herbal tea or soup containing herbs like ginseng, horny goat weed, maca and ashwagandha. Then you would most likely drink this daily while undergoing some acupuncture treatments. I believe there is a good chance they also would have taught you traditional tai chi as well (to help transfer energy throughout the body and restore balance).

How good does that sound?

This is what I do now even though I don’t suffer from ED, I am actually healthier and have more energy now than when I  was 18yrs old.

Anyways I could write about TCM all day and have gone a little off topic. Your sex drive and erection quality is a reflection of your health… So if you suffer from ED take a good look at your lifestyle and daily habits and be honest with yourself. If you think some daily habits could be causing you problems downstairs, look at removing these habits from your life and replace them with healthy ones. If you want to take action today have a browse of this website, there are many tips on here that you could use. I would also recommend getting your testosterone levels checked as ED can be a by-product of low Testosterone levels and hormone imbalances.Save
